These photos were taken just last Friday, when it truly felt (and looked) like autumn. Today is quite a different story, as major snowfall hit Chicago this weekend. I’ll admit: I’m a little happy about it! There’s something magical about the first snow of the season and the weeks leading to Christmas. As it gets chillier, I’m still wearing plenty of whites… the trick behind “winter white” is to simply choose more texture (like cashmere, wool, cable knit, tweed or corduroy) and opting for a mix of off-white shades (like ivory, cream, ecru or camel). Statement shoes don’t hurt, either! These beautiful velvet heels are gorgeous in person and are quite comfortable, too. If interested, you can find them here or here.
