By now, you’ve probably noticed things look a little different around here. I’m excited to introduce a new design for my site…!
So, why the change?
Since beginning this blog nearly 5 years ago, I’ve kept its overall layout and look generally the same. I felt it was time for an update, aesthetically — and also for improved functionality. I know many of you read sites on your iPhone or iPad, like I do, so naturally: I wanted my blog to keep up with the times. Hopefully, you’ll see improved browsing and mobile access with the new site. In addition to better functionality, the new design is result of thinking forward to what’s next for my blog. I basically took a long look at my “brand” and what I hope to stand for, in terms of style, approach, voice and value.
What’s new?
Well, many things are new. I’m sure you’ve noticed an updated navigation bar, that has drop-down categories. You’ll also see changes to the sidebar and footer content, which I’ll continue to update throughout the seasons. A major change happened to the shop page I’m very pleased with, so please check it out! I’m still refining a few sections and building out new functions, so please bear with me. You can still find me in the same spot on Instagram, where I share glimpses of daily life, and on Pinterest, which serves as my inspirational pinboard.
What’s next?
You’ll see more outfit posts, style inspiration, along with travel guides, Chicago recommendations, wedding updates, personal topics, and video. My goal is to provide a positive, inspiring place I can grow and evolve — and hopefully make a connection with you in some way.
All in all, I’m really really happy for the change and feel energized to create new content for you here. A little refresh can be a good thing, right?
