My boyfriend and I live in a great condo in a historic three-story building in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. One of my favorite things about our place is our outdoor deck, which is a fun spot for entertaining friends and enjoying dinners on warm summer nights. Because we closed in August last year and spent most of our energy (well, a lot of energy) on interior renovations, our deck didn’t get much love. This summer, I’m excited to give our outdoor space a bit more attention for the months ahead! While it’s not the largest space, it’s amazing what a few touches can do to transform a city deck. A great table, ample seating, colorful pillows, a few plantings, a string of decorative lights — you get the idea!

sounds so amazing! we have a small little deck and although all we have is a little table and two adirondack chairs it is our favorite for reading and eating dinner on warm nights!
