Today’s post is a nod to nautical. I learned sailing basics during a summer while I was a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The student org provided a classroom foundation (e.g. tack vs. jibe) and more hands-on training, like how to survive a capsize (eek!). Fast forward a few years later, little did I know I’d have the chance in Chicago to sail. It’s been a really amazing way to enjoy the outdoors (while still in the city!) and spend time with my boyfriend and friends. So many of my Chicago summer memories are tied to times on the water!
