In the midst of winter, I feel like my skin can start to look a little lackluster and well, dull. I love the idea of using an illuminating highlighter to create a natural, pretty glow. That’s why I wanted to share a few favorite products that highlight skin with a sheer wash of bright, healthy color. (And they’re glowy, not glittery – promise!). These 10 products are all under $15 and can be found at drugstores.
Do you use highlighters or illuminators in your beauty routine? If you have any favorite products, I’d love to hear! After trying lots of these, this one ranks best as my absolute favorite illuminator (under $7!). For tips on how to apply, check out this great tutorial.

I've been wanting to try that NYX Born to Glow! Benefit's "High Beam" is good too, just a bit more pricey!
Thanks, Jennie – I think it's worth a try!
I've been using Sun Beam by Benefit and the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Nectar, but I definitely prefer the prices of the items you've featured! 🙂 I've been impressed with all of the Nyx and Elf products I've tried so I just might have to pick those up!
Thanks, Jessie! I love Benefit and Bobbi Brown products, too 🙂 The NYX Illuminator in "Gleam" is a new cheap thrill favorite.
I love this! I like trying new products, but don't always want to spend a fortune on something new. This is a great post!!
So glad to hear, Rachel! I love browsing the beauty aisles in Target, Walgreens, ULTA, etc. – especially during a fresh new season 🙂
That was a great tutorial! I have the elf facial whip and love it!
Thanks, Niki – happy to hear! xo
I always forget to apply highlighter but I'm hoping to get more into it now. It's always my forgotten step in my makeup routine!
